How to Prepare for an Outdoor Photoshoot. Tips and Suggestions
An outdoor photoshoot can be unpredictable with only a few people present. Things like stepping in dog poop, wearing inadequate footwear, needing to use a restroom, and spilling coffee could all take place unexpectedly. So when working with a professional photographer, it is important to take the time to prepare ahead of time so that the outcome of the photoshoot is successful.
To help make sure everything goes off without a hitch, here are some tips and suggestions to help you get the most out of your photoshoot.
First, make a checklist of what you need to do before the photoshoot. Write down any props you may need, any outfits you will be wearing, and any other information that the photographer may need to know. This will help you stay organized and ensure that nothing is forgotten.
Second, get plenty of rest before the photoshoot. If you are well rested, you will be more relaxed and more likely to get the results you are looking for.
Third, remember to pack an extra pair of shoes for walking through grassy terrain, and don't forget to bring water shoes if you intend to enter any body of water. If the temperature starts to dip rapidly once the sun has set, it is advisable to bring along a cardigan, sweater or wrap for warmth.
Lastly, don't forget to bring bug spray and apply Permethrin on your shoes, socks, and pants since we are in the countryside. Better to be safe than sorry (Lyme Desease is NO JOKE!)
